Equipped with a pair of cordless handsets, a base unit with a built-in answering system, and a charger for the second handset, the 2255 is stylish, easy to use, and affordable. The bundle is ideal for households with free-roaming users, or for rooms with no phone line access, such as garages or attics. Even better, the reception on each handset is clear and static-free thanks to the 2.4 GHz frequency, which offers more clarity and a greater range than 900 MHz phones. As a further benefit, the two phones can act as intercoms, letting users contact one another from across the house without yelling or pounding on the wall. The built-in answering system, meanwhile, includes three digital mailboxes for more efficient organization. The mailbox system is particularly nice for busy households, as it lets users organize messages according to the recipient, or in a home office setting where home and business messages need to be stored separately. The answering system sports such additional features as 15 minutes of digital recording time, remote access (for checking messages when away from home), call screening/intercept, and intuitive voice prompts.
